COURSES’ LEVELS AND DESCRIPTION

Beginner (A1):  You will learn from the alphabet onwards. By the end of level 1, you will be able to have a basic conversation with your teacher and colleagues, introduce yourself and others and ask/answer questions about personal details.

Elementary (A2): At this level, you are able to hold a basic conversation, recognise a series of vocabulary,  and use the Present Tense with some confidence. Your English is enough for tourism in any English-speaking country. This course will take you from level 1 to the Pre-Intermediate level.

Pre-Intermediate (A2): You can talk to people about many different topics, describing events and experiences. You are able to read very basic reports and express your opinion in a simple context about many things. You are increasing your vocabulary constantly and you can use a few different tenses. By the end of this short course, you will be at Intermediate level (B1)

Intermediate level (B1): You can use the language with a bit more confidence, discuss topics to a certain degree, write an email, and understand more elaborated phrases. You can watch programs on TV, make plans and deal with most day to day situations. By the end of this course, you will be at B2 level.

upper-Intermediate (B2): You make much fewer mistakes when speaking. You can interact with a degree of fluency and are able understand most native and foreign speakers. You have enough vocabulary to discuss most topics and understand the main ideas of complex texts. By the end of this level, you will have reached an advanced level (C1)

Advanced  (C1): Your aim at this level is perfection. You are able to correct your own mistakes most of the time. You have a wide range of vocabulary and you have studied the most common tenses. Your writing, reading, listening and speaking skills are enough to go anywhere. You can express ideas fluently and structured. By the end of this level, you will start mastering the language at the C2 level.

Proficient (C2): Your abilities in the use of English are almost at native level. You can express yourself spontaneously, speak with confidence and can recognise and understand almost everything you hear or read.  You are able to discuss most topics and summarise informations and ideas. Your writing skills are at a very high level. By the end of this level, you will have mastered the C2 level.

 Requirements

  • Apart from the A1 (Beginner) students, all the other students should sit for a level test.
  • Online students should have at least an Ipad or a laptop.
  • You may have to purchase a book for each level you attend.
  • Students from elementary level onwards will be prepared for Cambridge exams if they wish.
